About this Dog
Alice is a sweet, affectionate senior with the heart of a puppy and the soul of a best friend. True to her Great Dane roots, she’s a leaner—happiest when rubbing up against you for some loving or sneaking half her body onto your lap (yes, all 104 pounds of her). Alice adjusted easily to her foster home and has proven to be an easygoing and loyal companion. She is house-trained and crate-trained, and is happy to go into the crate when asked. She’d thrive in a home where people are around often and where she doesn’t need to be crated too much, otherwise she may bark on and off. Because of this, she cannot live in a home with shared walls (no apartments/townhomes).She gets along well with other dogs, though she may react to some on leash, especially smaller ones. Alice loves people—especially women, which may be tied to her previous owner, an elderly woman she clearly adored. She cannot live in a home with cats. Alice has a lower energy level, so a short walk each day will do. She enjoys snoozing throughout the day, but is ready to go on a walk or play with a squeaky soft toy when initiated. She might be 8 years-old, but Alice still has a lot of love, life, and joy to give! Are you ready to meet this sweetheart? If you are interested in Alice, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $250. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

Adopt Alice and Receive Alice's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Alice's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Alice's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Alice, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Alice's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Alice was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Alice’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Alice’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Alice’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
