About this Cat
Esme is an outgoing, one-year-old pocket house panther looking for her forever family! This beautiful girl is a petite, green-eyed, black cat, and oftentimes thinks she is part parrot! She loves sitting on our shoulders while we work, and insists on being next to her humans. Whether it is binging shows, or organizing closets, taking naps, playing, or working, Esme wants in on the activity. She either curls up on our shoulder, or on a nearby pillow. This pretty girl is active all day long, trotting from room to room. She’s always ready for cuddles, and a favorite position is being held like a baby, looking over our shoulders! She is fine being cradled too, as well as being picked up and supported under her back legs.Esme, all 8 lbs. of her, holds her own with the resident, big-boned cats, (14 and 16 lbs., respectively). For their part, the resident cats are unsure of what to make of this bold and confident mini-panther, who just marched in and made herself at home! When we ask her questions, she adorably moves her ears around as if searching for answers. She is learning how to use her voice for treats. Esme is a huge fan of wet food, and is happy to have it three times a day. She excitedly trots to her bowl, patiently waiting for the good stuff. When it’s time for bed, Esme loves to cuddle at night by our feet. Esme is a medium energy cat, her zoomie time is between 9 - 10;30pm, when she chases the laser or ping pongballs. Esme currently lives in our house, with two active adults and two resident (PetHaven alum) adult cats. She has had frequent visitors, and is outgoing and happy to ask for pets. This little socialite loves being around people. She will thrive in a home with lots of activity, a family to dote upon her, with plenty of cuddle time. She hasn't met a dog yet in a residential setting, but her outgoing nature, and confident personality lead us to think she would like a friendly dog. She recently had a spay and hernia surgery and has recovered well. This fashionista even managed to look really cute in her post-surgery onesie.Esme means 'Beloved', and this affectionate beauty is sure to cuddle her way into your heart.Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat? Adopt Esme and Receive Esme's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Esme's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Esme's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Esme, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Esme's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Esme was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Esme’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Esme’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Esme’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
