About this Dog
Lilo is a sweet, snuggly, and slightly shy girl with a playful spirit and a big heart. She’s a certified Velcro dog — happiest when she's by your side, following you from room to room with her signature gentle loyalty. Once you earn her trust, you’ll unlock her goofy side: expect zoomies when you get home from work and bouncing excitement when she wants to play. She even gives you the cutest “please play with me” eyes! After a couple days in her new foster home, she settled in really nicely and caught onto the routine quickly. She’s fully potty trained, sleeps through the night in her crate, and even free-roams responsibly when left alone. She is doing well with household manners, like knowing not to jump up, counter surf or steal food, and she is quickly learning the "sit" and “wait” commands. Lilo can be vocal, especially when there are unknown noises that startle her or make her nervous. For this reason, Lilo cannot live in a home with shared walls (no apartments/townhomes).Lilo is polite with other dogs and has done well with both cats and kids in past homes. While she may bark a bit when meeting new people or dogs from afar, she’s quick to warm up and incredibly friendly once she feels safe. As a roommate though, Lilo would prefer to be the only dog or the only female dog. She prefers a calm introduction and a little patience — and in return, you’ll get a best friend for life.Lilo has a moderate-high energy level. A long walk or jog each day, or playing with another dog in the home would meet her needs nicely. She likes to play with toys if her humans are included too. If there is a fenced yard, we recommend at least four feet tall — Lilo can jump!Lilo can be a little anxious in new situations, so she will thrive with a family who has experience with positive reinforcement and redirection training methods, or demonstrate genuine willingness to learn these techniques. She’s smart, well-mannered, and eager to please — a perfect mix of cuddly companion and energetic playmate. If you are interested in Lilo, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adopt Lilo and Receive Lilo's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Lilo's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Lilo's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Lilo, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Lilo's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lilo was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lilo’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Lilo’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Lilo’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
