About this Cat
Asia is a cuddly, 5 year old girl who’s FIV+. She has lived with another cat for 3 years, who continues to test FIV-. I’m losing my housing and my mom is keeping him, but not Asia, as she is moving to assisted living & can only have one cat. She didn’t want to move. A social worker said she has to. The landlord decided to rent this unit out next month. He wouldn’t transfer the lease to me, as he wants to sell. I only have until June 30th to place her, or she will be put down by the Humane Society. They said they won’t even try to get her a home, because she takes medication. She has glomerulonephritis, for which she takes ACE inhibitors but is, otherwise healthy and active. She’s a chonk, not super active, but still playful. Would be great for a senior or kids. She loves to be hugged & cuddled. She’s a huge lap cat. She loves snuggling in bed, or on the couch, and watching cartoons, anime, cat shows, or anything with a lot of movement on the screen, while sitting on laps, or lying down. She loves laps, bed, windows, cat toys and tunnels.

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Asia's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Asia was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Asia’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Asia’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Asia’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
