About this Dog
Rupert’s story started in a cardboard box at a park, where he and his eight siblings were left behind. Luckily, they were rescued and have been learning that life can be safe, warm, and full of love. Rupert is a gentle, affectionate pup who enjoys playing with toys but isn’t overly hyper. He’s leash trained, crate trained, and rides nicely in the car. He loves pets and attention, and while he’s grown up with his siblings, he’ll do just fine as the only dog in a home. Since he’s still young, Rupert will thrive with someone who has the time and patience to teach him the basics and help him grow into a well-mannered companion. Make sure you’ve got some good chew toys—this boy loves to keep his teeth busy! Rupert is from Texas. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.* If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.

Adopt Rupert and Receive Rupert's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Rupert's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Rupert's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Rupert, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Rupert's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Rupert was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Rupert’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Rupert’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Rupert’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
