About this Dog
Hi there! I’m Doug the Pug — and yes, I really do look like a Doug. My foster family says I have a hilarious little personality to match the name, and I totally agree. I’m a fun-loving, toy-chomping, shoe-sniffing kind of guy, and I’m always up for a little adventure… or a long nap. I’m an expert snuggler and a professional lap warmer — if you’re looking for a bed buddy or a couch companion, I’m your guy. I don’t bark much, but I might have a few words if I hear another dog outside or when I first get tucked into my crate. I’ve learned a ton from the other dogs in my foster home, and I should have a furry sibling in my forever home to keep showing me the ropes. I even like playing with cats! I’m still working on my potty training, but with a little patience and a good routine, I’ll have it down in no time. And just so you know — when I’m about to do something a little naughty, my full name is Douglas. That’s when I know I better think twice! I’m playful, curious, affectionate, and always ready to make new friends. So, what do you say — wanna make me part of your pack? Doug is from Texas. This pet is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease. Activity must be restricted for several weeks during recovery. RSR will cover the full cost of treatment. RSR will provide heartworm preventatives until the retest is due. The adopter will be responsible for scheduling the retest and obtaining any follow-up prescriptions through their veterinarian. Adopt Doug and Receive Doug's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Doug's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Doug's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Doug, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Doug's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Doug was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Doug’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Doug’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Doug’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
