About this Cat
Estimated to be around 1 year of age, Cookie is an extremely playful and curious kitty. Although I have not been able to cat or dog-test him, I think Cookie would benefit greatly from having a kitty sibling to teach him how to interact with humans and learn that touch, brushing and petting are pretty awesome. Currently he will allow you to brush and pet him only while he is eating (he is VERY food motivated). He is very expressive and shows how glad he is to see you when you get home and will happily show you where his food bowl is….several times! In Cookie's opinion everything has the potential to be a toy and he particularly loves lures. He plays tug of war just like a dog which is fun to watch. He will rub against me while playing and loses himself in the game. This is why I think he would do well with another cat. He is all in when playing. Cookie uses only his scratching post and never on furniture. He loves to spend the day watching out the window. He is not very shy even if he doesn’t seem to understand that he can get on the couch with me at the same time yet. But I think that with a cat companion he will soon learn the benefits of having his own human companion beyond them being a food source. Cookie LOVES to play-click here to watch him in action. Check out this video and this one of him having the best time! Cookie is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.

Adopt Cookie and Receive Cookie's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Cookie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Cookie's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Cookie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Cookie's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Cookie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Cookie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Cookie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Cookie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
