About this Dog
*This animal is a part of our “Seniors for Seniors” program where we offer senior adopters an opportunity to adopt an eligible pet at a discounted fee.* Meet Gracie! This sweet little peanut may need slow introductions and can be a bit growly at first, but with patience, her gentle side shines through. She enjoys soft pets, though she doesn’t actively seek out affection. Gracie has the cutest soft howl to let you know when she’s ready to go outside, and she absolutely loves her daily walk—just one trip around the block is perfect for her. She prefers a quiet home with someone who's around most of the time. While she may go into her crate a bit reluctantly, she settles down quietly once inside. Gracie rides well in the car and will calmly gaze out the backseat window. She mostly ignores cats but may show the occasional flicker of curiosity. With her calm presence and sweet quirks, Gracie is looking for someone who understands her pace and will give her the safe, cozy life she deserves. Adopting a senior dog is like getting a vintage car – it comes with character, a few extra quirks, and might need a bit more maintenance. Expect occasional tune ups at the vet for oil changes (aka meds), and embrace the fact that those 'normal lumps and bumps' are just part of the well-earned charm package! Ruff Start will share all known health information with adopters and rec ommendations to keep your senior dog in top shape. Gracie is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.

Adopt Gracie and Receive Gracie's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Gracie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Gracie's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Gracie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Gracie's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Gracie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Gracie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Gracie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Gracie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
