Meet Lucas, a sweet and loving pup who was recently pulled from a local shelter and brought into rescue. While we don’t know much about his past, Lucas is all about the future—and he’s ready to find his forever home. He’s incredibly affectionate and loves to cuddle up with his people. Lucas is also dog-friendly and enjoys spending time with other pups. Here’s a video of Lucas playing. And another one of him playing with his foster sibling. So sweet!! That said, once he’s comfortable, he’s fine sharing toys—but he prefers to keep his food to himself, so he’d do best with respectful canine friends who understand and respect those boundaries, or be fed separately. He walks nicely on a leash and knows his basic commands. This smart boy is eager to please and catches on quickly with gentle guidance. Lucas has a calm, easygoing nature and would do well in a variety of home environments. Whether you’re heading out for a hike or settling in on the couch, Lucas will be right by your side. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lucas was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lucas’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Lucas’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Lucas’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
