Meet Rudy – The Sweetest Shy Guy Looking for a Patient Heart! Rudy is a timid little soul with a big heart who wants so badly to be loved, he's just a little too scared to ask for it right away. This handsome, chunky boy is cautious around people at first, but once he feels safe, he’ll quietly follow you from room to room like a soft shadow, hoping for connection. He adores the company of smaller dogs and would absolutely thrive with a calm canine companion who can show him the ropes. Rudy is kennel trained and sleeps soundly through the night, although he might bark a little when people are home, it’s his way of saying, “I’m here too!” He knows to potty outside but doesn’t yet know how to let you know when it’s time. He is working hard on it and learning from the other dogs in the home. If you try to pick him up too quickly, Rudy might do a little fear growl or act like he might nip, but don’t worry, he’s never actually followed through. He just needs you to go slow and show him he’s safe. With time, trust, and a gentle hand, Rudy blossoms. One of the best sights in the world is his happy little dance when he gets excited—it’s pure joy! Because of his timid nature, Rudy isn’t a match for a home with small children, but a quiet, predictable environment with a patient, dog-savvy adult (or two) would be his perfect setting. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.

We want the Rudolph’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Rudolph’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
