About this Dog
Meet Magpie, the sweetest soul you’ll encounter! Magpie came from a ruff past but has since been able to adapt to a brighter life. She’s an extremely smart dog; she knows sit, stay, shake, lay down, good on a leash (look at this video), fully potty trained, kennel trained and much more. This girl LOVES to snuggle and be by her fosters; no matter what’s going on she loves to be involved. She does great in all settings she’s been in so far which consists of some loud noises, a lot of people, kids, other dogs — as long as she’s involved she doesn’t care what’s going on around her. She also does well in calm environments; she’ll certainly take the opportunity to nap if it arises (can’t blame her). At night she snuggles in her own bed in her foster’s room and does great out of the kennel at night. She’s not much of a barker but on occasion she’ll help to let the house know someone has arrived (this is mostly when her foster brother starts the barking). Magpie is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.

Adopt Magpie and Receive Magpie's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Magpie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Magpie's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Magpie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Magpie's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Magpie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Magpie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Magpie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Magpie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
