About this Dog
Benita is from Texas. She was picked up there as a stray and brought into rescue after her stray hold was up. Benita is a sweet and cuddly little lady that just wants her own special spot on the couch next to you. Benita is mostly potty trained, and is working hard at it every day with her Texan foster family. She just needs some time outside to do her business roughly 30-45 minutes after eating. Benita is kennel trained, taking all her meals there as we'll as any high value treats. Benita is also leash trained, and loves to take rides in the car! Benita has not been exposed to large dogs, cats or children while under our care, so they are still an unknown for her. If you think that you have the perfect spot on the couch for this little sweetheart, please fill out an adoption application today. One big thing you should know is they are heartworm positive - but please don’t let that scare you away from adopting them! After they undergo treatment for their condition they will be completely healthy again, and heartworm is not a contagious disease. Because they need treatment, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) program. Click here to learn more about this program. They will get heartworm treatment at one of Ruff Start’s partner veterinary clinics in St. Cloud, so their foster will need to be comfortable getting them to and from the appointments. Treatment will consist of three injections: the first will be roughly 30 days after they enter rescue. Then, the second and third injections will happen 30 days after the first. When they are undergoing treatment, they should be on activity ‘restrictions’ which just means they should relax in their crate or cuddle with you. Click here to learn more about heartworm disease, which is transmitted by mosquitoes. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. Adopt Benita and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Benita's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Benita's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Benita, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Benita's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Benita was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Benita’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Benita’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Benita’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
