About this Cat
Hi! I’m Fish Loretta, but you can call me Fish. I’m a super energetic and playful kitten. I love to play with everything - paper, strings, tennis balls, cardboard boxes…. You get anything wiggling, I get a crazy look in my eye and chase it! When I’m tired, I love to snuggle and purr. My favorite nap spot is right curled by your chest, or right on your head! I get the zoomies frequently and prefer to stick around humans. I get lonely when I’m left to my own devices. I LOVE dogs, both big and little, though it takes me a little bit to be comfortable enough to play with them, and sometimes they don’t like to play with me. I love kids, too. My foster mom says I have NO fear! I’d love a lively home where I will get to play lots and cuddle with my new family. I prefer to have a covered space I can go to when I get nervous (like under a box, or under a chair) that’s quiet and away from other animals. I’m looking forward to meeting you! Fish Loretta is from a stray surrender. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals. Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.

Adopt Fish Loretta and Receive Fish Loretta's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Fish Loretta's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Fish Loretta's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Fish Loretta, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Fish Loretta's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Fish Loretta was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Fish Loretta’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Fish Loretta’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Fish Loretta’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
