Meet Dasher — a handsome, resilient boy with a heart full of love and a serious appreciation for belly rubs! Dasher’s story started out rough. He was heartbreakingly left behind in a cold, empty garage when his previous owner moved out in November, with no food or water. Thankfully, the property owner found him just in time, took him in, and got him back on his paws. Unfortunately, when a new baby arrived, Dasher wasn’t too thrilled about sharing the attention. Now safe and cozy in foster care, Dasher has taken a little time to settle but has blossomed into a sweet, affectionate companion. He’s curious about people and warms up quickly—especially if there’s food involved! Dasher is definitely food motivated and will happily show off his belly in exchange for pets and scratches. He loves lounging on the cat tree, gazing out the window to watch the world go by, and flopping over dramatically to ask for attention. While Dasher is a social guy with people, he prefers to be the king of his castle—he’d thrive as an only cat or with a younger, more submissive feline friend. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Dasher was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Dasher’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Dasher’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Dasher’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
