Meet Maybelle – The Tiny Tabby with a Big Heart At just 4.8 pounds, Maybelle may be petite, but she’s packed full of personality. This short-haired tabby is gentle, affectionate, and eager to connect—especially with humans. She’s especially fond of children under 10 and has a soft, even-tempered nature that makes her a sweet companion for families. While she's still adjusting to life with other pets, slow introductions to cats and dogs will give her the best chance to thrive. Maybelle is both Litter-Robot and litter box trained. She’s vocal—often chatting away, though the reason behind her frequent meows remains a bit of a mystery. She’s also a curious little explorer with a knack for inspecting trash cans and countertops, so her future family should be ready to continue her training. She’s currently learning boundaries with the help of tinfoil and a squirt bottle. Maybelle loves human food—especially cheese. Open the cheese drawer, and be ready to pay the “cheese tax.” She also enjoys lap pets (when she’s in the mood), car rides in her car seat, and greeting her favorite human at the door after a long day. While she doesn’t sleep in bed or sit on laps often, it feels like she’s still holding out for her forever home—somewhere she can fully settle in and feel secure. Her favorite toys include her catnip banana and a good scratch pad. She’s mildly food motivated (Churu treats are the way to her heart), smart, independent, and always looking for love. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Maybelle was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Maybelle’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Maybelle’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Maybelle’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
