Wisteria is one of the sweetest and most gentle cats you’ll ever meet. This graceful little lady was a superstar mom to five beautiful kittens, whom she raised with unwavering care and devotion. Now that her babies have all found loving homes, it’s Wisteria’s turn to be doted on—and she’s more than ready for the peaceful, love-filled life she deserves. Affectionate and even-tempered, Wisteria adores head and belly rubs and rewards your affection with a warm, rumbling purr and excellent biscuit-making skills. She’s not a lap cat (at least not yet), and she doesn’t enjoy being picked up, but she will happily follow you from room to room, greet you at the door, and curl up nearby on the couch or in her favorite cat tree. She especially loves gazing out the window to bird-watch and take long, peaceful naps. Wisteria is playful in a gentle, kitten-like way—she’ll bat at fluffy balls, chase feather toys, or entertain herself with stuffed animals from the “dog bin.” She’s lived harmoniously with other cats and a small dog, even letting her canine roommate "help" raise the kittens. She's extremely tolerant and easygoing with other animals, making her a great addition to a multi-pet household. While she warms up quickly to calm, respectful adults, Wisteria is very skittish around young children and loud noises. She will likely adjust with time, but she’s clearly more comfortable in a quiet, stable home where she can feel safe and relaxed. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Wisteria was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Wisteria’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Wisteria’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Wisteria’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
