Meet Mr. Snugglesworth – an incredibly sweet and laid-back boy with a heart of gold and a past that’s left him a little cautious. He was sadly abandoned by a railroad track on a subzero day, and due to that trauma, he tends to be wary, especially around men. However, with a little time and patience (and some soft food as a bribe!), he’ll slowly begin to trust and come out of his shell. Once he feels safe, Mr. Snugglesworth becomes a total lovebug. He’ll happily soak up scratches and belly rubs, and he loves to snuggle up right next to you. He’s even been known to try to keep you from leaving a room by winding around your legs — it’s his adorable way of saying, “stay with me!” This guy has a soft spot for cozy hideouts like hooded cat beds, tents, and nests — especially one favorite nest where he can poke his head out and quietly observe the world. He’s calm and unbothered even with a 100 lb dog nearby, but he does get startled by loud noises and would thrive in a quiet, relaxed environment. While he’s curious about other cats, Mr. Snugglesworth would do best as the only cat in the home, where he can truly settle in and feel secure. He’s the perfect companion for someone looking for a chill, affectionate buddy to share their space with. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Mr. Snugglesworth was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Mr. Snugglesworth’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Mr. Snugglesworth’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Mr. Snugglesworth’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
