About this Dog
*This animal is a part of our “Seniors for Seniors” program where we offer senior adopters an opportunity to adopt an eligible pet at a discounted fee.* Rheeta is a quiet old soul with a soft, gentle tail that gives the tiniest wag whenever someone speaks kindly to her. After 14 long years as a breeding mama, she’s finally learning what it means to be a house dog—and she’s taking it all in stride. Despite her past, Rheeta is remarkably well house-trained and incredibly polite. She doesn’t ask for much: a soft place to rest, a warm meal, and a kind human nearby. She’s deaf, a little stiff in her joints, and not built for stairs, so she prefers to stay on one level where she can feel safe and steady. She sticks pretty close to her person, not quite sure what to do with all the freedom—but never fearful or aggressive. She gets along beautifully with other dogs large and small and does well with cats, too. Every day she’s learning something new about being a regular ol’ house dog…Like soft beds, and yes food that comes in a bowl instead of being scattered on the ground. We’ll get there, old girl. One bite at a time. Rheeta is ready to trade in her hard life for soft beds, gentle hands, and a quiet home to call her own. Her perfect retirement is waiting—could it be with you? Adopting a senior dog is like getting a vintage car – it comes with character, a few extra quirks, and might need a bit more maintenance. Expect occasional tune ups at the vet for oil changes (aka meds), and embrace the fact that those 'normal lumps and bumps' are just part of the well-earned charm package! Ruff Start will share all known health information with adopters and rec ommendations to keep your senior dog in top shape. Rheeta is from a breeder release. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. Adopt Rheeta and Receive Rheeta's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Rheeta's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Rheeta's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Rheeta, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Rheeta's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Rheeta was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Rheeta’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Rheeta’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Rheeta’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
