About this Dog
Shocka is a terrier mix around 2-3 years old. Even at only 24 lbs, she takes her job as a security guard very seriously. If you are a single person who would appreciate extra security as you walk, shop, or sleep, Shocka is your girl. She keeps track of activity around your home by keeping watch out of the window. She alerts when she sees another person or animal walking around your home. Any suspicious noise in the middle of the night, she’ll get up and secure the perimeter. She’ll alert by growling or barking if she senses any person or animal who dares to come within feet of your home. If you share walls, Shocka might not be the dog for you. She’s a very agile, energetic, and loving dog. She loves walks and is potty trained, but she does not appreciate the cold. If it’s too cold outside, she won’t choose to go outside to do her business, but she’s really good at going on potty pads. It took some time, but she’s now very friendly and comfortable around my other dogs and cats. She can get a little territorial around food, so it would be best to feed her in her crate where she won’t feel threatened. She does well in a crate, but it’s not her place of choice. Unless she’s eating, her crate door is always left open. I only keep her in a crate for an hour at most, but I think she’ll do well for longer as she just gets comfortable and rests until you let her out again. She can get car sick at times. She jumps when she’s excited and loves belly rubs and attention. She’s very protective of her human which means she does not like when strangers approach, although some people earn a tail wag while most get aggressive barking and lunging. She tends to pull a little on her leash, but if you distract her or redirect, she will stop pulling. She loves taking apart her toys to see what’s inside and if it’s edible. She loves to sleep tucked up tight next to her human and is one of the best feet warmers I’ve ever known. She’s very playful. If you're looking for your own personal security guard with a lot of love to give, Shocka is your girl! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adopt Shocka and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Shocka's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Shocka's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Shocka, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Shocka's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Shocka was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Shocka’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Shocka’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Shocka’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
