About this Dog
Houston is a sweet little miniature poodle, that was a local surrender - unfortunately, his previous owners did not have enough time for him with their busy schedule. Houston is approximately 1.5 years old and around 12 lbs. He originally came from a breeder and he had not been housetrained. Houston has made progress in the housetraining department, but he still wears belly bands in the house to prevent accidents. Houston is used to living with dogs and because of his puppy mill type background, we think he needs to live in a home with another dog, as they make him more comfortable. Another smallish dog would probably be best, but he hangs well with the big ones too. He can be shy with strangers, but is not shy once he bonds with you. Houston is a total love bug. He really wants to be near his caretaker. He is very quiet in the house, he will snuggle up in a dog bed near you while you work from home. He loves to sleep in the bed with you, but is very good and sleeps down near your feet and sleeps all night. Houston is a sensitive little doggy that loves his person, loves to go to the dog park, loves to break out in the occasional zoomy and have a good time! He will need a dedicated type of person, who is savvy to the needs of a somewhat shy dog and stays on top of his housetraining schedule. Interested in adopting or learning more about this animal ? Adopt Houston and Receive Houston's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Houston's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Houston's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Houston, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Houston's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Houston was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Houston’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Houston’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Houston’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
