About this Dog
Petaka is an 10 month young Terrier mix little lady who has a fire for life and love for her person or people. She is a champ at using the pad every time, and at only 10 months that is awesome. She is working on learning the outside world, showing so much curiosity for it with only minimal hesitation. She is also working on learning how to walk on a leash. She will come and allow her collar and leash to be put on without any issue, walking around 1 whole block at the moment, and loving it. She would do amazing with a fenced in backyard to be able to get out and run off some of her puppy energy, maybe even playing fetch, as this is something she really loves to do. If ever you feel like just chilling and hanging out on the couch, Petaka will gladly be right there with you, soaking up all the love and attention you can give, and even giving you space when you need to let your arm rest in between pets. She is the perfect snuggle buddy in bed at night as well. Lying quietly with you, snuggled right up to your tummy. If you are lucky, she will lay her sweet little head on the pillow next to you and put her little nose right on yours and stare lovingly at you until you notice her, and then she may even give you her little tummy for a rub before falling back asleep with you. She is a great helper in the kitchen, cleaning up anything that may drop. She is treat motivated and super smart to boot, so training will be a breeze. She is very calm and quiet on car rides in her kennel. Making traveling possible without worry and stress. She is learning how to make friends with dogs her size and is doing amazing. She has not been around kittens/cats and has not been around children. I do believe, however, that with proper introduction and going slow, allowing her time to get acclimated to new people, other pets and surroundings, she would do great. If this sounds like the girl you want or need in your life, head over to the website and fill out an application for this sweet little girl. She is going to make someone a best friend for life...will it be you? Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adopt Petaka and Receive Petaka's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Petaka's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Petaka's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Petaka, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Petaka's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Petaka was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Petaka’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Petaka’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Petaka’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
