About this Dog
Zac is a 4-year-old Coton de Tulear with a heart as soft as his floofy coat. This sweet, silly, and gentle little guy spent his early life outdoors, so he’s still getting the hang of this whole “indoor dog” thing—but he’s learning fast and doing great! While he’s still a bit shy with new people and would prefer to quietly observe the chaos rather than dive in, Zac absolutely lights up around other dogs. He loves nothing more than chasing his pup pals, pulling off a few backyard zoomies, then curling up next to a furry friend for a well-earned nap. Bonus points if that nap includes a lap—he’s discovering just how cozy people can be. Leashes? Not quite his jam yet. Zac tends to freeze like a statue when one comes out. Loud noises? No thank you! For now, Zac will need a secure fenced yard to safely explore the world at his own pace. His potty training is still a work in progress, but he’s crate trained and has never barked a peep. Zac’s ideal home includes at least one confident canine buddy to help him keep blossoming—and humans who understand that trust takes time, but the reward is a soft, soulful companion who just wants to be loved. If you’re looking for a tenderhearted little fluff with a playful streak and a calm, quiet spirit, Zac is your guy. Come meet him—and maybe bring a dog friend or two! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. 100% of Zac's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Zac.
Adopt Zac and Receive Zac's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Zac's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Zac's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Zac, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Zac's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Zac was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Zac’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Zac’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Zac’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
