Introducing Lela, affectionately known as Squeak – the queen of tiny wiggles, forehead wrinkles, and big personality in a little body. This 12-pound dynamo is equal parts heart-melter and sass machine, and she’s one of those foster pups you fall for fast. Lela is thriving in foster care: Sleeps through the entire night Kennel trained Doing great with potty training (she just needs a little help managing water intake – girl loves to hydrate!) Learning fast and eager to please She’s a social butterfly who absolutely adores everyone – big dogs, small dogs, and especially kids. Her affection knows no bounds, and she’s often found snuggled up in someone’s lap or happily accepting belly rubs. She’ll seek out attention, lean in for cuddles, and then melt right into your arms. Lela’s also surprisingly bold! She has no idea she’s little and can hold her own with the big dogs. She’s smart and a bit sassy – when she’s excited, she scrunches up her little face and gives the cutest bark you’ve ever heard. She’s got a prey drive and loves sniffing out critters or chasing bugs, so a fenced yard or leash walks are a must. She’s food motivated in a gentle way – she’ll often let other dogs eat first, so she does best in a home where someone makes sure she’s getting her fair share. She’s learning commands quickly and gets the concept of “no” really well. Some of her favorite things: Chewing bones Zooming and showing off her new tricks (she learned stairs and now proudly does laps) Playing with kids Being held and loved on Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Lela's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lela was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lela’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Lela’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Lela’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
