About this Dog
Meet Adele — a sleek, athletic Doberman with a heart full of zoomies, a head built for leaning, and a toy obsession that knows no bounds. At 67 pounds of pure muscle and curiosity, Adele is the perfect mix of high energy and heartfelt snuggles. She’s always up for a walk, hike, or rousing squeaky-toy session, but when the fun winds down, she’s ready to nestle in and rest her head right in the crook of your arm like it’s custom-made for her. She’s a world-class leaner and professional cuddlebug. Adele is incredibly smart and a quick learner. She already knows sit, down, leave it, heel, and “go potty,” and she’s crate trained like a champ. Just say “go home” and she’ll trot right into her kennel like the good girl she is. She’s fully potty trained, never soils her crate, and even lets you know when it’s time for a bathroom break. She walks beautifully on a leash and loves car rides. She doesn’t jump on furniture, but she will unpack every toy in the basket with the enthusiasm of someone discovering buried treasure. She’s even been caught watching TV — usually with a very serious look, like she’s critiquing the plot. Adele does well with dogs her size or larger after proper introductions, though she’s still figuring out how to peacefully coexist with other female dogs. She’d do best in a home with no small dogs and with slow intros to any resident pets. She’s been great with kids age 10 and up and would thrive in an active home that enjoys the outdoors. She’s also a big fan of human food — not in a subtle way — so watch your snacks, because Adele is always on guard for rogue crumbs. This girl is the whole package: loyal, trainable, playful, and affectionate. A home with prior Doberman experience would be a great fit, and Adele is ready to be your hiking buddy, your sidekick, your TV co-watcher, and your built-in arm warmer. Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Adopt Adele and Receive Adele's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Adele's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Adele's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Adele, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Adele's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Adele was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Adele’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Adele’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Adele’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
