Meet Deuce! This guy was a stray wondering the streets of MO. He was in an unmanned pound since March, just waiting and hoping to find a family or rescue. Always happy to see the ACO when she came, so much so he ended up wagging his tail bloody and needed to have it docked. The ACO took him home to test him with dogs, cats, kids.....He passed with flying colors! Now he is here at MARS and we need to find him his Road Home!! He is just a happy dawg! Lets keep it that way. This was a quick pull to keep him from breaking down in the pound. He is 2 yrs old, neutered, housebroken(from when he was at the ACO's) Good with EVERYTHING! * I did test positive for heartworm and will be receiving treatment provided by MARS to live a long healthy life. *A dog with Heartworms is not directly contagious to other animals. Heartworms are transmitted by an infected mosquito. If you have previously applied with us please email [email protected] to reactivate your application with new interest.All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. We accept Credit cards, Debit cards as well as cash. At this time we do not accept checks. Our Adoption fees for all animals cover required vetting: which includes, Rabies, Distemper Vaccine Series, Bordetella, Deworming, Heartworm Test as age appropriate, Spay or Neuter and Microchip and registration. Adoption Fees are Non Negotialble. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption.

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Deuce's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Deuce was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Deuce’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Deuce’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Deuce’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
