Hi, I'm Barney, or as my foster mom likes to call me, Barnacles ! I'm a Shepherd mix with estimated birthday of February 2025 . I have been such a fast learner! When I wake up, I can't wait to sit patiently for my breakfast, and I wait by the back door to go outside. I love playing with all my toys, but I sure do love chewing on sticks and playing outside. After breakfast and play time, I know it's time to crate up and will go in willingly, waiting for my treat and staying quiet until foster mom gets home from work. When she gets home, I get water right away and wait for my dinner, again wait at the back door to go out and go potty, and play with my brother and my foster brother outside. I sleep through the night in my crate. Sometimes on the couch for a bit with the family, but when it's time for them to go to bed, I go to my crate. I have not been around cats yet, but I'm sure I would do just fine. I'm just still so curious about everything new. I have been on a couple of walks and doing well. I have the kindest and sweetest heart, just looking for someone I can share that with! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Barney was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Barney’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Barney’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Barney’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
