About this Dog
Do you want to meet me? I will be at Tavern on France Restaurant, 6740 France Ave. Edina, MN 55435 for an Adoption Event on Thursday, July 24th 5:00-7:00 pm. Please email [email protected] for questions regarding the dogs. Hi there! I'm Ruckus and I am 67 pounds of PURE LOVE. Given the chance, I will lick your face off. I am a VERY happy boy. What can I say? I’m a giver. But. . .I can also be a taker. I haven’t had a lot of freedom in my life so have found counter surfing a fun new freedom. My foster mom isn’t too fond of it, but I’ve found some good stuff up there on occasion. Other than that, I’ve been a really good boy. I’m still learning how to ask when I need to go outside to potty, but I want to learn and try so hard to be a good boy. I have a small problem with boundaries, but my foster mom says I’m easily redirected and listen well when it’s not time for pets, but in my defense, I haven’t had a lot of love in the last couple of years so I’m making up for lost time. My other boundary issue is that I’m like the Kool Aid Man with baby gates, when I see someone I love, or just someone who I want to love and get to know. I know it’s not a good look, but please, I’m 67 pounds of pure beefcake, a baby gate has nothing on me. I have really enjoyed learning to “dog” here at my foster home and have learned that stuffies and squeakies are my favorite. There are a couple other dogs here, one big girl that is a little bossy but I show her mad respect and never react when she gives me the business. I have a little bromance going with the little guy at the house. He’s only 16 pounds, but we have LOTS of fun playing together. So, yeah, I’m pretty good with other dogs, but the BEST part of living in a foster home is ALL the LOVE. I may need to have a slow introduction to new dogs especially at first. I'm still learning so I can get a little nervous and reactive to new pups in my space. But once I have a slow introduction I'll be all over those pups - I have foster siblings that I just love so much! I take all the love I can get and the humans upstairs even let me sleep in their bed on occasion! I don’t get to sleep with foster mom unfortunately because I think her bed is pretty full with the other dogs that live here and most nights I’m in my kennel which is just fine by me too. Another thing I love about living in a foster home is going outside and on walks. My foster mom says I’m actually pretty good on a leash. I sometimes get a little too excited about squirrels and rabbits, but I manage to keep my stuff together and refocus on the walk with a little tug and some words “leave it” or a click of the tongue. I’ve learned that when I hear “leave it”, a tongue click, or a finger snap I need to pay attention and do better. I will close in saying that if you are looking for the next love of your life, look no further. I have a lot to offer and will make you the BEST snuggle buddy and good boy you’ve ever dreamed of. Love, Ruckus Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***

Adopt Ruckus and Receive Ruckus's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Ruckus's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Ruckus's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Ruckus, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Ruckus's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Ruckus was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Ruckus’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Ruckus’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Ruckus’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
