Meet Scarlett, a sweet and beautiful spaniel mix in search of her forever home! This loving girl has an affectionate nature and a playful spirit that will warm your heart. Scarlett came into rescue very pregnant and demonstrated her nurturing side as a wonderful mama. Now that her puppies are grown, she’s ready to find a family where she can be the star! Scarlett loves attention and will happily crawl into your lap for some quality cuddle time. With her soft gaze and sweet kisses, she’s sure to make you feel loved in return. While she’s good with other dogs, Scarlett can be a bit bossy at first. She may bark and give playful boops with her nose when meeting new furry friends, but once she settles down, she gets along just fine. Scarlett can also thrive as an only dog, especially if her new owner is home more often to shower her with love. She’s okay with cats and would do best in a home with older kids who can match her playful energy. A few things to know about Scarlett: she has a higher energy level and enjoys being vocal with her charming yips and whines, making her less suited for apartment living. Ideally, she would thrive in a home without shared walls. Scarlett is well-behaved in her kennel, keeps it clean, and is fully potty trained. While she knows to potty on a leash, she would absolutely love a fenced yard to run and play in. Although she does pull a bit on the leash, her small size makes it manageable, and with a little training, she’ll be an excellent walking companion. If you’re looking for a loving and energetic companion, Scarlett is ready to fill your home with joy and affection! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Scarlett was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Scarlett’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Scarlett’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Scarlett’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
