About this Dog
Hello, it’s nice to meet you! My name is Alicia, and I’m estimated to be a 1-year-old Catahoula leopard dog mix. I weigh 39 pounds. I have the same name as my foster mom, so my foster parents call me Aurora. I was rescued from an overcrowded shelter, and boy am I happy to be free! My foster parents say I’m just about the sweetest girl ever. I love meeting new people and giving them kisses. I’m gentle, affectionate, and appreciative. Sometimes I jump up to give hugs, so you would need to watch me with little kiddos; that way I don’t accidentally knock them over. I have met many dogs of all sizes and loved them all! I like to play for short bursts and can entertain myself if my furry friends aren’t feeling active. I’ve had a small amount of exposure to cats and did just fine with them. My foster parents are impressed with my training so far! I like to lay in the kennel for naps and don’t mind sleeping in there at night. If I’m in a playful mood and have to be kenneled when you leave the house, I may bark for a little bit. My foster parents let me sleep in bed with them and I don’t make a peep all night. I am potty and leash-trained! Going on walks is a lot of fun and I especially like looking at the squirrels. Did I mention that I love toys? Stuffed animals are my favorite thing to chew on! My future family should know that I have bilateral hip dysplasia. The vet said I don’t need surgery right now, but it’s a real possibility when I’m older. For me to stay healthy, my family should commit to the following: 1) keeping me lean and active with low-impact exercise such as swimming or walks, 2) getting me on a prescription mobility diet such as Hill’s j/d, and 3) giving me a joint supplement like Dasuqin. My foster mom can give you more info! I know that sounds like a lot of work, but I promise I’ll make it worth your while. I’m an easy girl to love with my honey eyes and gentle soul. I can’t wait to find my forever home! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $275.00

Adopt Alicia and Receive Alicia's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Alicia's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Alicia's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Alicia, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Alicia's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Alicia was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Alicia’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Alicia’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Alicia’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
