About this Dog
Do you want to meet me? I will be at Tavern on France Restaurant, 6740 France Ave. Edina, MN 55435 for an Adoption Event on Thursday, July 24th 5:00-7:00 pm. Please email [email protected] for questions regarding the dogs. Meet Magi, a sweet and spunky 25-pound Mini Aussie with a heart full of love and legs made for zooming. She’s a young adult (around 1–3 years old) who thrives on playtime, yard adventures, and bonding closely with her person — she tends to be a “one person” kind of gal and is wonderfully affectionate once she feels at home. Magi is full of energy and loves running freely in a fenced yard, so her ideal home definitely includes one. She also enjoys walks (especially early in the morning when it’s quiet), chewing on her favorite sticks, and showing off her obedience skills — she already knows "sit," "leave it," and "go potty." At home, Magi is happy, loyal, and playful. She’s potty trained and uses both potty pads and the great outdoors. However, crate life isn’t really her style — she’ll bark to let you know it. In fact, she’s a vocal girl in general, especially if someone walks by the house, so a home without shared walls is best for her. While she gets along well with other dogs of all sizes and would do best in a home with a canine companion, she has a high prey drive and is not a good match for cats. Magi can be overwhelmed by too much commotion and is still working on her leash manners — she tends to pull and can get quite loud when spotting other dogs, so she’ll benefit from patient guidance in that area. Health-wise, Magi has a small lump on her side that’s scheduled to be removed on April 23, and aside from that, she’s in great shape and ready for her next adventure. She may be a little quirky, a little loud, and a lot of love, but for the right person — someone with a yard, another dog, and lots of patience and affection — Magi is going to be the most loyal and loving companion you could ask for. *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***

Adopt Magi and Receive Magi's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Magi's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Magi's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Magi, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Magi's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Magi was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Magi’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Magi’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Magi’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
