About this Dog
You can stop scrolling through all the dogs on these pages now because you have come upon your new best friend: ME! My name is Mason. I am a little over 2 yrs old, and they tell me I am a beagle mix. I don’t want to sound like I’m bragging, but I’m a pretty darn good guy! I do have a few little personality traits that make me unique, but nothing that you and I can’t work on together. I want so badly to find my forever family, but I tend to be very timid when I first meet people, so lots of people just pass me by. They don’t realize that some dogs are aware of stranger danger just like people, and that’s me, until I get to know you. Once I am comfortable around you, I have been known to give lots and lots of kisses. I sleep with my foster mom, and she tells me I am the perfect bed partner. I have a strong dislike of being in a kennel. It causes me great anxiety, and I have been known to break out of one. I behave myself very well when no humans are home, I nap and watch out the window, anxiously waiting for their return. In fact, I get so excited when they come home, I like to jump up to greet them. My foster mom uses the word floor and I’m getting better at knowing what that means. Although I love kids, really little ones might not be the best fit for me. I get a little over exuberant at times and might accidentally knock somebody down. My absolute favorite thing to do is wrestle with the resident dog. We get the zoomies and chase each other. It is so much fun! I’d love to have a furry sibling to help me work off my energy. My foster mom started to use a thing called a gentle leader when we walk. She says I’m a good walker now. I don’t like that thing on my nose, but I like it when she says I’m doing good. Speaking of noses, I have a really good sniffer, and it sometimes leads me astray. I would prefer not to have boundaries, but my foster mom says a fenced yard would be the best for me. Want to go on an adventure? I’ll go with, but if it’s a long car ride, I should probably have some Dramamine. I do great with short trips, though. Remember I told you I broke out of a kennel once? Well, I hurt some of my teeth doing it, so the vet says that I’ll need yearly dental checkups now, and I can’t chew on anything hard, like bones. Oh, I forgot to tell you there is a cat that lives here. I so want to be friends with her and play, but she doesn’t like me. I wish she knew I don’t want to hurt her. The only time I chase her is when she runs. I thought that meant playtime, but she won’t play. One more thing I want to mention: I am very willing to learn and experience new things if you have patience with me, the world, and new people can be scary sometimes. I know that if I find a caring, loving family, I’ll feel safe and ready to take on the world! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Dental, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $525.00

Adopt Mason and Receive Mason's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Mason's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Mason's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Mason, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Mason's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Mason was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Mason’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Mason’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Mason’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
