Meet Sophie, a petite and gentle Doberman with a tender heart and a shy soul. Estimated to be just over a year and a half old, Sophie came to DRM as a stray in Kansas alongside Ember and Pearl. She’s still learning that the world is a safe place, and while she may be skittish with new people and dogs at first, once she feels secure, her playful and loving personality shines through. Sophie adores stuffed toys, chew bones, and especially playing with her best foster buddy, a miniature pinscher. She’s fully house-trained, respectful when left alone, and happiest curled up on the couch while you’re away. Though she’s still working on basic training and building trust, she’s making steady progress each day. Sophie does best in a calm home with a fenced yard and patient people who can help her blossom into the confident, happy girl she’s meant to be. All DRM dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, health checked, microchipped, 4DX tested, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sophie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sophie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Sophie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sophie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
