About this Dog
Meet Duke, (affectionately known as Duke-enhimer), a red Doberman with the soul of a gentle giant and the lifestyle of a retiree. This lovable big guy is as chill as they come: he refuses to rise before 10 a.m., takes his sweet time exploring new places, and would rather roll in the grass than go on a run. He’s got a goofy, clumsy charm and is wonderfully low-maintenance for a large dog. Duke is great with kids (they’re basically his emotional support team), shows a strong attachment to men, and is the definition of a classic Velcro Doberman. He gets along best with small dogs, and while he’s shown curiosity toward chickens and cats, he’s easily redirected and non-aggressive. Duke has great recall, walks well on leash and off, and is eager to please. He’s still polishing up on basic commands, but is incredibly willing to learn. Duke would thrive in a calm home with a yard and a family ready to love a big dog with an even bigger heart. No high energy required! If you’re looking for a loyal, lazy, kid-loving companion who barks to announce guests but greets them with a tail wag, Duke is your dream bestie in a house-horse body. This fabulous foster is a Doberman Rescue Minnesota foster dog. Please read all adoption steps and policies carefully on our website. http://dobermanrescueminnesota.com/adoption-steps/ Qualified adopters are within the approved adoption area, and Adopter will be requested to visit this foster dog at the foster family home. Our foster families are generally located within a 250 mile radius of Minneapolis, MN. All DRM dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, health checked, microchipped, 4DX tested, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Adopt Duke and Receive Duke's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Duke's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Duke's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Duke, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Duke's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Duke was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Duke’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Duke’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Duke’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
