About this Dog
Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending! Meet Astoria Greengrass, also known as Tory — a cheerful little pup with a big personality and even bigger puppy energy. Astoria, (Tory to her friends), is everything you'd want in a playful sidekick. She’s friendly with people and dogs, curious about the world, and always ready to join in on whatever fun is happening. She loves to cuddle, chase toys, wrestle with doggy pals, and zip around the yard like she’s training for the Puppy Olympics. If you’re on the move, she’ll be right there with you — Tory is a loyal little shadow who follows her people from room to room like a fuzzy parade float. She’s got a healthy appetite, a goofy streak, and just the right amount of sass. She’s working hard on her potty training, especially after recovering from a UTI, and she’s learning fast. Tory is crate trained, walks pretty well on a leash, and already knows several helpful commands. She’s especially fond of any toy she can toss around, and her favorite hobby is carrying socks, shoes, or towels proudly from room to room. She's even been known to sneak off with a ball of yarn or a knitting needle or two — so craft enthusiasts, keep your projects out of paw’s reach. Tory is very well-adjusted for a pup her age and hasn’t shown signs of fear or skittishness. She thrives in a home with other playful dogs and would do best with a fenced yard and a family who’s home often. Because of her high energy and ongoing work on bite inhibition, a home with older kids (elementary age or up) would be ideal. She’s a chatty little companion who’ll “talk” to you with soft barks during snuggle sessions. Tory is affectionate, smart, and eager to please — the kind of dog who makes every day a little more fun, a little more sweet, and a whole lot sillier. **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home. T his puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void. We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion. Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee. Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***

Adopt Astoria Greengrass and Receive Astoria Greengrass's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Astoria Greengrass's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Astoria Greengrass's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Astoria Greengrass, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Astoria Greengrass's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Astoria Greengrass was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Astoria Greengrass’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Astoria Greengrass’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Astoria Greengrass’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
