About this Dog
Meet Nicky! He doesn’t know his name yet, but he sure knows how to be the sweetest little snuggle bug you’ve ever met. At just 9 pounds, he’s basically a living, breathing teddy bear—with a tail. At around 1.5 years old, Nicky has nailed the perfect balance of playful and chill. He zooms through a quick 15-minute play session (rope toys are his favorite), and then he’s all about that nap life. Whether it’s the couch, your lap, or a sunbeam on the floor—he’s happy to settle in for the day. This Arkansas native is fully potty trained and clearly familiar with puppy pads. Until he’s settled into a routine in his new home, it’s a good idea to keep a pad available—he’ll use it without fail, he just sometimes forgets to wait for the next walk. He’s also kennel trained (whines a little at first, then snuggles in) and totally respectful of your stuff—he doesn’t chew anything that’s not his. No surprise shoe casualties with this guy! Even better? He doesn’t need daily playtime to be well-behaved—he’s not destructive, just extra peppy during the next play session if he’s got energy to burn. Nicky is very treat motivated (understatement of the year) and will happily do just about anything for a nibble. He loves dogs, likes most cats (female cats = yes, the one male cat he’s met = nope), and is a big fan of kids! He doesn’t live with any right now, but he plays sweetly with the neighbor kids (ages 4–10). Because he’s a little guy, older or gentler kiddos are ideal. He rides well in the car, lives to cuddle, and prefers to be near his people—he doesn’t need constant attention, just wants to know he’s not alone in the world. So if you’re looking for a compact companion with a big heart, soft ears, and a mild obsession with rope toys… Nicky’s your guy. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, dental, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $575.00

Adopt Nicky and Receive Nicky's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Nicky's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Nicky's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Nicky, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Nicky's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Nicky was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Nicky’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Nicky’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Nicky’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
