If you're looking for a cat who will keep you entertained, make his presence known, and rule your heart (and possibly your house), Cedar might just be your guy.This confident kitty is full of energy and loves interactive play. He’d thrive in a home where he can climb, explore, and burn off some of that alpha-cat energy—bonus points if you have a wall-mounted cat structure or tall cat tree! He’s also a fan of pets and brushing sessions, but he expects his humans to respect his cues when he’s had enough. (In true Cedar fashion, he makes the rules—he just needs you to follow them.)Cedar is very vocal and expressive. He’ll let you know when he’s bored, anxious, or just wants attention. He may have had outdoor access in the past, as he often goes to the door and meows, so a screened-in porch or catio would be his dream spot. He’s curious about dogs and doesn’t seem afraid of them—so a respectful canine friend could be a great fit.He may not respond to his name (yet), and “no” doesn’t quite register, but he’s charming enough that you’ll probably forgive him. The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Cedar was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Cedar’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Cedar’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Cedar’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
