About this Dog
Pegasus and her litter were dumped at a high kill shelter in West Texas. She loves all dogs and everyone, she spent a week in a home with dog friendly cats and did fine with them. All dogs and puppies require supervision and training to be successful.Pegasus aka Peggy is a playful, goofy gal looking for her forever home. She arrived in Minneapolis mid-March just in time for her first snowfall. And she LOVED it. She has quickly become a Minnesotan pup and enjoys being outside no matter the weather, rain, sunshine, snow or cool or hot weather. When she’s not outside enjoying the weather, she is inside either playing with toys, following her foster mom around curious to know what’s going on or playing with her foster sibling. Pegasus gets along with other dogs (is respectful of ones who don't want to play) and all people, including children. She is staying at a home with kids nextdoor that visit almost daily, she watches them as they run around in their yard or even running in her yard to retrieve a stray ball or toy that goes over the fence. She enjoys a good bone, rope toys, chasing a ball and squeeking toys. While she is an active girl, you can find her curled up or sprawled out on the couch or if allowed, she will lay on your lap for a good snuggle for hours. She has seen cats and stayed at a home with some and was just fine with them. She had magical ears, they have all sorts of different postitions that will keep you entertained, they even work independantly, it's totally adorable. During the work day and at night, Pegasus sleeps in her kennel- she may make a quick small peep but she’ll settle in for a peaceful sleep. Pegasus has gone for walks/runs with her foster mom and does well. She’ll need more training but she’s a quick learner and food motivated. Since she arrived she has made great strides; she enjoys car rides, knows sit, is working on her recall, kennel and potty trained. She enjoys outings such as going to breweries and pet stores, but anywhere she is with someone and even better if there are dog friends to play with. You can definitely call her a social butterfly! She has discovered that she LOVES splashing in a kiddie pool, so she would likely enjoy a lake as well. She isn't afraid to try new things, so agility classes would be super fun with her. Pegasus is ready for her new home and some new adventures! 100% of Pegasus's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Pegasus.
Adopt Pegasus and Receive Pegasus's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Pegasus's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Pegasus's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Pegasus, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Pegasus's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Pegasus was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Pegasus’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Pegasus’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Pegasus’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
