About this Rabbit
Hi! I’m Maize—a 7-month-old Lionhead bunny with a special little twist (literally). I’ve got something called head tilt, which makes me look at the world from a bit of an angle. It started when I was about two months old, but don’t worry—it doesn’t slow me down or stop me from living a full, happy life! I may stumble sometimes or do a few extra circles, but with a gentle and supportive hand nearby, I’m good to go. The most important thing you should know about me? I must be adopted with my mom, Cider. She’s my rock, my protector, and my snuggle buddy. We’ve been through a lot together, and I feel safest when she’s by my side. I’m a food connoisseur. Fresh hay is delish and occasional dried apple is the best treat around. I’m working hard on my litter box habits—they’ve gotten way better since I was neutered! When it’s playtime, I love to dig and have fun. A digging box would be a dream! If you're looking for a sweet, special guy with a big heart—and an even bigger bond with his amazing mom—We might just be the perfect pair for you. *RRMN requires all children be 10+ years old for first time bunny owners and 8+ for those with previous bunny experience. All applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.* If you're interested, please fill out an adoption application at: http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com. Gender: Male (neutered) Approximate birthdate: 9/12/2024 Approximate weight: 2.12 pounds Adoption fee for Pair: $150.00 (+tax) RRMN bunnies are all vetted, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. All bunnies are fostered in private homes where they are socialized and ready to become indoor companion house pets. RRMN is a non-profit rescue group operated 100% by volunteers, and 100% of donations/adoption fees go to the direct care of our animals. Due to their very special behavioral needs, we do not advocate for our rescue rabbits to serve as Emotional Support Animals (ESAs). We are unable to provide any documentation or certification for an ESA. If you have any questions or are interested in meeting or adopting this bunny, the first step is to complete an adoption application found on our website: http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com. For the safety of our rescue bunnies, our protocol requires a home-visit before placement. Therefore, we are unable to facilitate adoptions that exceed an hour and a half of travel time from the Twin Cities area.

Adopt Maize and Receive Maize's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Maize's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Maize's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Maize, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Maize's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Maize was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Maize’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Maize’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Maize’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
