About this Rabbit
Hello there, I'm AUGUST, and I'm here to say hello with a friendly hop and a twitch of my whiskers. I'm the bunny in charge around here, and I take my role seriously. You see, I like things to run smoothly and on time, especially when it comes to feeding and getting some well-deserved attention. I must admit, I'm quite the treat enthusiast, and there's nothing like a tasty morsel to get me all excited. If you have some treats, you'll see me light up with curiosity. I also enjoy receiving some gentle petting – it's a great way to show me some love. Now, I do need a bit of supervision when I'm out and about, as I can be quite the chewer. I haven't had much time to learn the ropes of free-roaming, having been kept in a small cage before my fostering days. My buddy Amber and I are both larger bunnies, so we could use two litter boxes in our pen area to accommodate us. We're getting better at using them, and we're eager to learn more about being active and exploring our surroundings. We share a fondness for chewing on sticks and are a bit obsessed with treats. Carrots didn't initially strike our fancy, but we're slowly warming up to them when they're served in our salads. We even have a ball in our pen that we sometimes push your way – a fun way to engage with you. We currently enjoy Oxbow essential adult rabbit food, sharing a ¼ cup a day as part of our diet plan. Amber and I are quite sociable and good at meeting new people, especially if they come bearing treats. Hay is our very favorite food and as an added bonus, it keeps our teeth in good shape. When it comes to health, I could stand to lose a little weight, so I'm on a diet, but there are no special or chronic health needs to worry about. Amber and I are also great around older children – we're curious and always on the lookout for more treats. We might even nudge you from behind or give your clothes a little nibble to remind you of our presence. As for cats and dogs, well, that's a bit of a mystery. We haven't had the chance to meet them yet. Amber and I have always been together for the past 2 ½ years, and we genuinely enjoy each other's company. That's why we must be adopted together – we make a great team. I'm the in-charge bunny, making sure everything's safe and sound for both of us. So, if you're looking for friendly, curious, and calm, we're here and eager to find our forever home with you. Due to their very special behavioral needs, we do not advocate for our rescue rabbits to serve as Emotional Support Animals (ESAs). We are unable to provide any documentation or certification for an ESA. If you have any questions or are interested in meeting or adopting this bunny, the first step is to complete an adoption application found on our website: http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com. For the safety of our rescue bunnies, our protocol requires a home-visit before placement. Therefore, we are unable to facilitate adoptions that exceed an hour and a half of travel time from the Twin Cities area.

Adopt August and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, August's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is August's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the August, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming August's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and August was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, August’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.
Learn more about it on youtube or at dogecoin.com.
We want the August’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, August’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
