Meet River! River is a 5-month-old Lab/Collie mix with a heart full of love and energy to match! This sweet, smart pup is thriving in his foster home and picking up new skills like a champ. He’s already fully potty trained, knows how to sit, and is crate trained for bedtime, mealtimes, and when left home alone. River is working on “lay down” and coming when called, and he’s making great progress! He’s still learning some basic puppy manners and how to greet new dog friends politely, but he takes redirection well and is eager to please. River is an active, playful boy who would do best in a home with another dog to help him feel secure and burn off his puppy energy. He does experience a bit of separation anxiety if left completely alone, but he’s perfectly content with a canine companion by his side. He’s a big fan of chewing bones, going on adventures, and he LOVES water — he’d make an awesome hiking or lake day buddy! River is ready to be your new best friend and would thrive in a home that can keep up with his active, happy-go-lucky spirit. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and fun pup, River might just be your perfect match! Adoption fee includes: veterinary exam, DHPP up to date at time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and deworming.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and River was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, River’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the River’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, River’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
