About this Dog
Emmett arrived from the city pound on July 12th when his legal hold was finished. He had been found tied to a table at a local park. He's a younger guy, maybe around 2 years old and appears to be a lab mix of some kind. Maybe some hound, shepherd...it's a guessing game. He does have some crazy double dew claws on his hind feet that give him a unique quality. He will be vet checked and neutered on Aug. 5th and his fee is $150. Emmett is a bit unsure of himself and can be quite shy at first. However he's really quite loving and goofy. We think he has the potential to be a fun companion. He does appear to be okay with other dogs. We don't know about cats at all. We're not sure if he has ever been around young kids. He will require some basic training in all areas and will need regular exercise. NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.

Adopt Emmett and Receive Emmett's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Emmett's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Emmett's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Emmett, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Emmett's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Emmett was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Emmett’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Emmett’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Emmett’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
