About this Dog
Toby was originally adopted from our shelter over 7 years ago when he was under a year old. He is now 8 years old and is a large, handsome hound mix. He was returned as he was having a pretty consistent personality conflict with the other large male dog in the home. It happens - we can't all get along with everyone. Toby was well loved and well cared for. He is completely vetted and his fee is $125. Toby is looking for a somewhat quiet and calm home in which he won't be left alone a lot. He would love a large fenced area in which to bop around. As a hound mix he can be a bit stubborn and vocal when the situation calls for it. He did live with other dogs but might prefer to be the only dog in the home at this point in his life. He did live with cats and was fine with that. He has received basic training and is pretty well mannered. NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.

Adopt Toby and Receive Toby's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Toby's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Toby's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Toby, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Toby's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Toby was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Toby’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Toby’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Toby’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
