Ghost and his siblings Parker and Bowie were born to Jewel at MCHS on 5/5/22. Ghost is a very handsome guy who does well with people and the other cats here at MCHS. He was adopted but returned to MCHS in Aug, 2025 because of a death in the family. He has tested neg for feline leukemia/FIV, is now neutered and current on shots. We are looking for an indoor only home for Ghost and is siblings. Adoption fee of $80 is waived with an approved application because of sponsorship. Ghost does eat IAMS Sensitive System food and uses a non-clay litter because of some allergies. Both of these items are available at WalMart. A pet carrier is required at the time of adoption and you must be 21 to adopt from MCHS. To meet Ghost or any of our cats, go to mchs.rescuegroups.org and complete and submit our online application. We will review and get in touch to set up a meeting time. Our address is 101 22 ST SE, Austin, MN. We are located off of I-90 via exit 180B to 218 SOUTH. We are just past our local airport. THANKS.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Ghost was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Ghost’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Ghost’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Ghost’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
