About this Dog
Honey came to us from the city pound when her time was up and no one had claimed her. She is microchipped so we were able to track down some basic info on her, including her name. Alas, no owner could be contacted so she's ready to start a new life with someone. Honey is 5 1/2 years old and is spayed. We will get her vet checked and updated on vaccinations soon and her fee is $150. We're hoping to find Honey a home that has some experience with her breed(s). Livestock guardians are not a dog for all people. They need good amounts of space and do have the instinct to "patrol" their territory. We're pretty certain, however, that Honey was strictly someone's pet as she is very sweet, well mannered, and affectionate. She is a big dog! She will need a lot of regular grooming to maintain her coat. We do think she'd be okay with older kids and other well mannered male dogs. We're not sure about cats. NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.

Adopt Honey and Receive Honey's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Honey's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Honey's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Honey, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Honey's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Honey was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Honey’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Honey’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Honey’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
