About this Cat
dob 2/1/23 Nugget was one of the original Kalkaska 38, a group of abandoned cats TC Paw rescued in fall 2023. Like several in the group, he had a sensitive stomach, but in his TC Paw foster home it was well managed on prescription food. He was adopted in winter 2023. In fall 2024, we were surprised to find Nugget in a trap set for another lost cat. The adopter admitted, “He got out a few months ago, and I moved.” Just like that. So we took him back and placed him in a foster home. Nugget was very thin and in digestive distress. Evaluation confirmed inflammatory bowel disease. It took months, but now Nugget is doing well on prescription food and an every-other-day pill that he takes easily. Nugget was very ill and shy when he came back to us, but now he is the sweetest, most lovable guy around. He loves to talk and follow his people around. He has a cute little voice and human-like facial expressions. Give him a hammock and a catnip toy, and life is good. He gets along with kids, dogs, and other cats. He loves to eat, but he needs a restricted diet of Royal Canin HP prescription food. He takes a Chlorambucil tablet every other day. Nugget is a very special guy who has been let down by people twice now. Let's get him a home dedicated to keeping him healthy and safe.

Adopt Nugget and Receive Nugget's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Nugget's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Nugget's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Nugget, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Nugget's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Nugget was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Nugget’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Nugget’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Nugget’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
