dob 6/20/24 Mama Cass was trying to cross busy Cass Ave. with her kittens. A driver stopped and grabbed the kittens, but Mama ran off. We trapped her later and thought we'd get her a barn placement, but she was friendly enough to be a pet, so we placed her in a TC Paw foster home. She was very fearful at first, but with time she's becoming more comfortable. Mama Cass enjoys pets, affection, and eating. Sudden movements and loud noises still make her flinch, but she has absolutely no aggressive behavior. She has an adorable face - just look at those eyes - and a sweet disposition. A quiet home and a gradual introduction to it will be best for the Mama. She just needs someone to fall in love with her and give her time and space to feel safe.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Mama Cass was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Mama Cass’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Mama Cass’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Mama Cass’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
