06/27/2025 Update Miss Macy continues to search for her forever family. If Macy had a shopping list for her purrfect home, she would be looking for a quiet home with patient adults as it will take her time to adjust to new surroundings. She would also like a home where her family would provide spaces for her to safely explore and investigate. While she would benefit from another kitty for companionship after a proper introduction, Macy would probably do best with a family who has no dogs. Davison, MI Hi my name is Macy! Sometimes my foster mom calls me Macy Moo, Miss Macy, or Macy Ann for when I’m being a stinker I’m definitely a silly cat and I love to find hiding places. I love playing with feather sticks. I get along with others that are calm (and have treats). My fur feels like velvet and you might fall asleep petting me. I can be shy at times so please be patient with me. Once I’m out of my shell though-I’m a pretty cool cat I'll be great in a home with other kitties. I'm not sure about dogs but probably an older, quieter dog would be fine. I'm also not certain if I like children but I think that an older child who knows how to treat a kitty would be purrfectly wonderful. Want to adopt me? For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Macy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Macy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Macy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Macy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
