About this Dog
Mac is a big boy, and a big lover! He is eager to please and enjoys tasks/training. He likes to walk, but tires easily - a mile is pushing it. He has a high prey drive - rabbits and squirrels beware! He absolutely loves going on car rides. When outside, he loves playing with his frisbee and flirt pole.
Mac is a funny boy, and loves to snuggle! Inside he favors squeaky toys, but he especially loves his "stuffie" aka "friend". He drags it around like a security blanket, sleeping with it and just sharing life. Mac is home all day with me while I work. He roams the house and gets to go outside frequently. When I do leave the house, Mac is free-roaming, though he has his crate available - which he enjoys. There are no worries on leaving him out and about while "home alone".
Mac would do best in a home with NO CATS. He does OK with other dogs. He is very strong-willed and will push boundaries. He needs a firm leader. He is crate-trained, potty-trained, is not a chewer and knows several commands/tricks. He does have anxiety when it comes to meeting some men and going to the vet.
Mac is neutered, micro-chipped, and UTD on vaccines. He is on flea/tick meds during season and is an indoor only dog. He's a healthy boy but could stand to lose some weight - he was around 85-90 lbs per our last vet visit (04/2026). We see a "fear free" vet to help with his visits and I do give Trazadone pre-visit to help lessen his anxiety while visiting the vet.

How will Mac receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Mac, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Mac's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Mac was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Mac’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Mac’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Mac’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
