Corabelle was a very young stray in Detroit who regularly hung out near a nice woman's house who would always feed her. One day the woman realized she was pregnant and due very soon. (And she’s so young) We are so grateful we got her in time. as 2 days later she had 6 babies. Sadly, 2 of them didn't make it, but 4 beautiful boys did. She was such a great momma, it was awesome to watch. Corabelle is a beautiful soul. After going through some big life changes, understandably, she’s a bit shy at first, and she’s adjusting to her new world, but even in her quiet moments, you can feel the deep well of love she holds inside. Over just a few days with her foster mom she’s made amazing progress each day. Her brave heart shines a little brighter once she feels safe and her affectionate side comes out. She’ll gently rub her head against you and practically melt into your touch, hoping the pets never end. She loves attention and is learning that she is finally in a place where she can receive it fully. Watching her open up is truly special and it’s clear she’s ready to blossom with someone who will cherish her gentle, loyal spirit. All of our cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested for FIV/FELV , and up to date on vaccinations including rabies, distemper, and dewormer. You can meet some of our adorable cats and kittens during store hours at PetSmart, 385 Haggerty Rd. in Commerce Township. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Corabelle was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Corabelle’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Corabelle’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Corabelle’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
