Meet Pimento – A Beautiful Mama With a Heart Full of Love, Ready for Her Own Happy Ending. Pimento’s story began on the streets — pregnant, hungry, and alone, unsure of where her babies would come into the world. We don’t know how long she’d been fending for herself, but one thing was clear: this gentle girl never gave up hope! Just one week after being rescued, Pimento gave birth to five beautiful kittens. With unwavering devotion, she cared for them, never once leaving their side. She was a picture of quiet strength and love. Now, her kittens are growing up and finding homes of their own. And it’s finally Pimento’s turn. Because of her sad beginning and life on the streets, Pimento is FIV+. She is completely asymptomatic and all this means is that she has the antibodies. She can live a long, healthy happy life. You just have to remember that if she gets sick, you need to take her to the vet, like you would any other cat. This sweet, mellow mama asks for so little — a cozy perch where she can watch the world, soft neck scratches, belly rubs, and a few tasty treats (churrus are her absolute favorite). In return, she’ll give you a lifetime of quiet companionship, tender affection, and the kind of love only a once-lost soul can give. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Pimento's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Pimento was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Pimento’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Pimento’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Pimento’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
